LNESC Scholarship
Each year, our LULAC Council raises funds for the LNESC Scholarship to support the educational aspirations of Hispanic students in our community. This scholarship program represents one of our most important initiatives, directly investing in the future of Latino youth and helping to address educational disparities that continue to affect our community.
Through a variety of fundraising events, generous donations from community partners, and the tireless efforts of our dedicated members, we provide deserving students with financial assistance to pursue higher education. These scholarships help alleviate the financial burden that prevents many talented Hispanic students from achieving their educational goals.
Recipients of the LNESC Scholarship have gone on to attend prestigious universities and colleges across the country, studying in fields ranging from engineering and medicine to education and public policy. Many scholarship alumni return to our community as professionals, creating a powerful cycle of mentorship and giving back.
Lechon y Alegria
Lechon y Alegria is an event dedicated to celebrating Hispanic Heritage and feeds our purpose of propelling the upcoming generation forward by donating proceeds towards the annual scholarship. Community members gather and connect over food and drinks, while resource tables dedicated to supporting Latin American populations in Philadelphia.

Cafe con Leche
In response to the polarizing politics of today and the trend of miscommunication, LULAC Philly created the Cafe Con Leche Series to start meaningful conversations surrounding civic engagement and quality of life. The series is called Cafe Con Leche because, as small children, the elders in our families would dive into the deepest of conversations over a cup of coffee. The council wants to bring that same feeling of safety and openness to all involved.
