Our Mission
LULAC Council 20009 is dedicated to uniting leaders in education, non-profits, and the Latino community to create a strong, cohesive network. Our mission is to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health, and civil rights of Latinos.
LULAC Philly envisions a city where Latinos live in and have access to choice neighborhoods with high livability scores and community visibility. A future where everyone has equitable representation in government and Latinos have economic mobility.
Connected to a National Movement
The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) is the largest and oldest Hispanic organization in the United States, dedicated to advancing the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health, and civil rights of the Hispanic population.
With over 900 councils nationwide, LULAC supports programs that provide more than a million dollars in scholarships annually, conduct citizenship and voter registration drives, develop low-income housing, and offer youth leadership training.
Through the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC) and SER Jobs for Progress, we deliver educational counseling and job skills training across the country. The LULAC Corporate Alliance, comprised of leading Fortune 500 companies, strengthens partnerships between Corporate America and the Latino community, amplifying the impact of our mission nationwide.
